About Active Prospects
People Leading Aspiring Lives
Active Prospects is an award-winning charity that supports autistic people, people with learning disabilities, physical and mental health needs, acquired brain injuries and complex needs to live full and aspiring lives. Working across the South East of England, the organisation provides innovative, flexible and responsive support that enables people to achieve greater independence, exercise choice and control, and be active members of their communities.
Established in 1989, Active Prospects has grown into a leading provider of specialist social care and supported housing services, while remaining firmly focused on its charitable purpose. The organisation's vision is to create inclusive communities where everyone can shape and lead their best lives, with a strong commitment to co-production, innovation and person-centred support.
Today, Active Prospects supports more than 300 people each year and employs around 500 colleagues across a diverse portfolio of residential, supported living and community-based services throughout the South East.
Specialist Support for People with Complex Needs
Active Prospects has built a strong reputation for supporting people whose needs are often among the most complex within the health and social care system. The organisation works alongside individuals, families, commissioners and healthcare professionals to develop bespoke support solutions that enable people to live safely and successfully within their communities.
A particular area of expertise is supporting people to move from long-term institutional or hospital settings into their own homes. Through carefully tailored support, specialist accommodation and a commitment to co-production, Active Prospects has enabled more than 50 people with complex needs to leave institutional settings and lead more independent lives.
